Anne Erickson, Certified Medical Illustrator (CMI)

After receiving an undergraduate degree in biology from Wagner College on Staten Island,  I pursued an undergraduate degree in commercial illustration at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn.  That study led to my acceptance to the graduate medical illustration program at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine.

Completion of that world-renowned program has proudly placed me in the historical continuum of medical illustrators who trace their discipline to Max Brøedel, who worked for Dr. Howard A. Kelly in the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics at Johns Hopkins in the early 20th century and transformed the role of visualization in contemporary medicine.

I enjoy working with medical publishers, phamaceutical advertising agencies, legal firms and private individuals from my home studio on Staten Island. Projects typically include surgical illustration, demonstrative evidence and portraiture.
